Everything you need to know about Burner’s redesign in 2022

Burner 2022

New year, new us! As you might have heard (and likely seen), we’ve updated Burner’s interface and features. But why?

We’ve been working behind the scenes to collect user feedback and perform user testing to see how we can improve Burner for you.

We took all of your feedback and implemented it into one big update that includes a new design, better call quality, and fewer dropped calls. It also includes backend updates that will enable us to provide you with faster future feature development (say that five times fast) and better service overall. In short, we did this to improve the app for users like you, and we’re excited to help you get to know the new Burner.

What did we update?

At a very basic level, we’ve:

  • Redesigned the entire interface

  • Updated the whole codebase

  • Fixed a lot of bugs

What’s that mean for you, though? Updating the codebase and the interface allows us to be able to deliver new features you want at a faster rate than before. This means that, when you start to give us feedback, we’ll be able to implement those changes more quickly.

Feature updates

Updates to the interface and codebase mean that we’ve not only fixed bugs, but that we’ve been able to enhance the regular Burner features you’ve grown to know and love.

Namely, this includes:

  • Fewer dropped calls

  • Increased call quality

  • The ability to save and easily share photos

  • A sultry new dark mode

As mentioned above, the updated back end also means that as you start to use the new version of Burner, if you have feedback you’d like to share with us or features you think are missing, we’ll be able to implement those a whole lot faster than before. In short, Burner is now built to work for you in a way that will help us evolve with the changing needs of our users.

What’s with the new look?

We figured it was time for a makeover, but the new look of Burner is more than just about looking sexy (because let’s admit, it does look pretty great now, doesn’t it?).

We worked to develop a design that is closer to the look of your actual phone, making our features more intuitive and easier to use for you.

Thoughts on the new Burner?

We’re excited about this version of the app and believe that the changes we’ve made will ultimately benefit you in the long run. That being said, we’re also eager to get your take on the new look and functionality.

If you have comments you’d like to share with us, feel free to take this short survey so that we can continue to improve Burner to fit your needs.

*Note: Android users can expect to enjoy the updates in the next few months. Stay tuned!
