Senior DevOps Engineer (Remote)
Ad Hoc Labs is a fast-growing startup whose mission is to empower consumers to take control of their mobile identity, privacy, and productivity. We are passionate about building high-quality software and using technology creatively to solve meaningful problems.
Our bestselling app Burner has been the category leader in virtual phone number apps for more than five years, serving millions of consumers with a way to generate additional phone numbers when needed, keep them indefinitely or use them only temporarily, and delete them when finished – all without the hassle of wireless carriers or contracts. Burner was named a top 50 app by TIME and has been covered extensively in the press, including the New York Times who said “a thin layer of privacy between yourself and the rest of the world, when needed, is hard to put a price on.”
Our newly-released app Firewall is an innovative, “extreme” solution to robocalls, spam calls, and unwanted phone calls generally–a set of problems that costs billions of dollars in fraud and lost productivity annually. Firewall is unlike any other robocall screening app and works by enabling users to forward their phones to the cloud, where we can screen calls intelligently and pass through only those callers known to the user. It’s getting lots of attention and rave reviews including from CNET, whose reporter wrote, “I couldn’t be happier”.
Firewall and Burner are just the beginning for us–come join our adventure!
